Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup thick teriyaki sauce
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • Couscous
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup couscous

Preparation

In bowl, beat egg; mix in bread crumbs, teriyaki sauce, onion and pepper. Mix in beef and form into four 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick patties. In nonstick skillet, cook patties over medium heat, turning once, for 12 to 14 minutes or until no longer pink inside.

Couscous: In saucepan, bring shredded carrots, water, orange juice and salt to boil; stir in couscous. Remove pan from heat; cover and let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff couscous with fork.

 

Additional information :

Tip: If your skillet isn't nonstick, brush lightly with vegetable oil.
