Pie Plate Salmon Tart

Here's an easy and nourishing dish you can make in a hurry.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp margarine or butter
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 1 can (7-1/2 oz/213 g) pink salmon, (undrained)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 slices of bread, cubed
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 pinch pepper

Preparation

In skillet, heat margarine or butter over medium-high heat; cook onions for 2 to 3 minutes or until softened.

In bowl and using potato masher, mash salmon; mix in onions, milk, vinegar, bread, eggs and pepper. Spread in greased 8- or 9-inch (20 or 23 cm) pie-plate; bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25 to 30 minutes or until set.
