Ingredients
- 2 peeled potatoes , (about 1 lb/500 g)2 2peeled potatopotatoes, (about 1 lb/500 g)
- 1 clove of garlic 1 1clove of garlic
- 1/2 cup buttermilk 1/2 1/2cup cupbuttermilk
- 1 tbsp butter 1 1tbsp tbspbutter
- 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 1/4tsp tspsalt
- 1 pinch pepper 1 1pinch pinchpepper
Preparation
Cut potatoes into chunks. In large saucepan of boiling salted water, cover and cook potatoes and garlic until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and return to pot; dry over low heat, shaking pan occasionally, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Add buttermilk, butter, salt and pepper; smash with potato masher until smooth yet large chunks still remain.
