Use your child's favourite kind of apple for this salad, which also works well between two slices of bread. Include another container of carrots and cucumber and a dip to plunge them into. Add some cheese in another container and some crackers in a plastic bag. Your child will enjoy changing flavours with each bite.
- Portion size 2 servings
- 2 apples cored and cut_into chunks
- 1 unsweetened pineapple chunks with juice (8 oz) drained (optional)
- 1 celery stalk chopped
- 1/2 cup cubed Black Forest ham
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup raisin
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper
In bowl, stir together apples, pineapple, celery, ham, yogurt, raisins, honey, salt and pepper.
