This quick slaw is a fun departure from the standard mayo-slathered cabbage and carrot. It's crisp, fresh and bursting with favourite Asian flavours.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sodium-reduced soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons liquid honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large heads bok choy thinly sliced
  • 1 large sweet red pepper
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 green onions thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds toasted

Method

In small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, honey and salt. Set aside.

In large bowl, combine bok choy, red pepper, cilantro, green onions and half of the sesame seeds. Drizzle with soy sauce mixture; gently toss to coat. Sprinkle with remaining sesame seeds.
