This is a terrific recipe for a crowd, on a cold winter night, or for a potluck. This was passed on to me from my Grade One teacher, forty five years later!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb spaghetti
  • 1 1/2 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 2 cups shredded cheese

Method

Brown ground beef in dutch oven, adding onion and peppers. While doing that, cook spaghetti. Add all ingredients together in dutch oven, and pour into 9X13 casserole dish. Melt 2 tbsp butter, mix in 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs and add 1/2 cup shredded cheese, and spread over top of casserole. Bake 30 minutes at 375 uncovered. Serve with green salad and crusty bread.
