These croutons are perfect in our Show-Off Caesar Salad, and they take only a few minutes to make. Switch them up by using different types of bread, such as cracked wheat, whole wheat or rye.

Ingredients

  • 4 bread cut in small cubes
  • 1/4 cup butter cubed

Method

Arrange bread cubes on rimmed baking sheet; broil until browned on 1 side, 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Remove from oven; add butter and toss until melted.

Return to oven; broil until browned all over, about 1 minute. Let cool on sheet.
