Caraway Walnuts

Simplistic and nutty, this is wonderfully understated – fit for any cheese plate.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups walnut halves
  • 2 tablespoons walnut oil
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoons caraway seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

Method

In large bowl, stir together walnuts, oil, caraway seeds and salt. Spread on parchment paper or foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in 325°F (160°C) oven until golden and fragrant, about 18 minutes. Let cool. (Make-ahead: Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.) Makes 3 cups.
