Cheese and Melon Balls

Serve these cheese balls rolled in chopped nuts or, for a contrast in colour, chopped fresh mint. As accompaniments, alternate honeydew and cantaloupe balls on skewers.

  • 1/2 lb cream goat cheese (chevre)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped nut
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh mint
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley


Form cheese into 20 balls, each about 1 inch (2.6 cm) in diameter. Roll in nuts or herbs. Skewer on long bamboo picks. Refrigerate on waxed paper-lined trays, covered, until serving time.
