Chimichurri sauce 2

An Argentinian steak sauce:

  • Portion size 15 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 green onions
  • 2 shallots
  • 1/2 jalapeño pepper seeded
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped parsley
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cups olive oil

Method

coarsely chop onions and shallots and jalapeno, whirl in food processor along with parsley and cilantro salt and oregano until chopped. Slowly ad oil and vinegar whilst processor is running Sauce should have some texture. Serve a small blob on top of grilled/BBQ; steaks/burgers etc.
