My mom has made these for years, they have always been my favourite. Plus they have bran, yogurt and banana in them, so they are low in fat, high in fiber and extremely delicious. This recipe is great for using up blackened bananas that have been sitting on the counter for a while.

In a medium size bowl, beat margarine and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg, beat again until smooth. Add bananas, peeled, and beat again until smooth. Add yogurt, mix in. In another medium bowl, combine flour, oat bran, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Mix well and add to wet ingredients in other bowl. Blend just until well mixed to prevent tough muffins. Mix in chocolate chips, and spoon into standard muffin pan. Makes 12-14 muffins.
