French Paprika Dressing

French dressing poured over wedges of iceberg lettuce makes a refreshing summer salad – and one that is currently enjoying a resurgence in popularity.

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cups vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 teaspoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Method

In blender, blend oil, sour cream, lemon juice, tomato paste, sugar, paprika, salt, mustard and cayenne until combined. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 5 days.)
