French Toast

Author: Canadian Living

Turning breakfast into supper is a favourite tactic for Reid, who plans to serve this with syrup and maybe berries.

  • Portion size 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 3 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 8 slices white bread

Method

In shallow dish, whisk eggs, milk and cinnamon. In nonstick skillet, melt half of the butter over medium heat until bubbly.

Dip each bread slice into egg mixture, turning to coat and soak up liquid. Cook in skillet, in batches, adding remaining butter as necessary and turning halfway through, until golden, 4 to 6 minutes.
