Fresh Herb Dip

There are lots of fancy exotic dips nowadays, but this classic remains a favourite. Garnish with sliced green onion and serve with Toasted Spiced Baguette Crisps (recipe here) or crudités.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup light cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup light sour cream
  • 1 green onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minched fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dillweed
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 dried basil
  • pinch each salt and pepper

Method

In food processor, blend together cream cheese, sour cream, onion, parsley, dillweed, lemon juice, basil, salt and pepper until smooth.

Scrape dip into serving bowl; cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 2 days.)
