The typical tuna salad sandwich has kids and adults begging for a change. With this sandwich's addition of fresh dill, dried fruit and cheese, tuna salad now has a little something? for everyone.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Balkan-style plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 cans sodium- reduced water-packed solid white tuna drained
  • 1/2 cup shredded old Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried cranberries
  • 4 multigrain pita pockets (such as Pita Break)
  • 1 cup alfalfa sprouts

Method

In bowl, stir together mayonnaise, yogurt, dill and mustard until smooth. Stir in tuna, Cheddar cheese and cranberries.

Halve pitas and open to form pockets. Divide tuna mixture among pockets; top with sprouts.
