Grilled Cheddar and Apple Sandwich

Apples, maple and raisin bread add a hint of sweetnesss to a grilled cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices cinnamon raisin bread
  • 2 apples
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup (optional)

Method

Top 1 slice of bread with apple; sprinkle with cheese, and maple syrup (if using). Top with remaining bread.

Grill in panini press until crisp, browned and cheese is melted, 2 to 3 minutes. (Or grill in skillet over medium heat, pressing and once, 5 to 6 minutes.)
