Grilled Greek Pitas

Seasoning and grilling pita breads improve their texture and taste. You can also do this in a skillet on the stove.

Ingredients

  • 4 whole wheat pita breads
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Method

Brush pita breads with oil; sprinkle with oregano, salt and pepper. Place on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and grill, turning once, until golden, about 4 minutes.
