Grilled Tuna Melt Sandwich

Active and growing kids have big appetites that require immediate attention after school. This quick, hearty sandwich fits the bill.

Ingredients

  • 1 can flaked white tuna drained
  • 2 teaspoons light mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons frozen corn
  • 1 tablespoon chopped red pepper
  • 1 bun
  • 1/4 cup shredded Havarti cheese

Method

In small bowl, stir tuna with mayonnaise; stir in corn and red pepper. Top 1 half of bun with tuna mixture; sprinkle with cheese. Top with remaining half of bun.

Grill in panini press until crisp, browned and cheese is melted, 2 to 3 minutes. (Or grill in skillet over medium heat, pressing and turning once, 5 to 6 minutes.)
