The classic accompaniment to those summer backyard BBQ feasts. This recipe makes a great base for adding your own personal flair.

Ingredients

  • 300 g elbow macaroni uncooked
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 3 dashes hot sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cup medium Cheddar cheese cubed
  • 2 cups cooked ham cubed
  • 3 stalks celery diced

Method

Cook macaroni as directed on package; drain. Rinse with cold water and drain again. Set aside.

In a large bowl, thoroughly combine sour cream, mayonnaise, vinegar, hot sauce (if using), and salt. Stir in ham, cheese, macaroni, and celery until well coated.

Cover and chill.
