Hot Herbed Oil

The longer this spicy-hot oil sits, the hotter it gets. Drizzle it over pizzas or use it for saut?g or stir-frying.

  • Portion size 500 servings


  • 6 dried chili pods
  • 2 teaspoons black peppercorns
  • 4 sprigs
  • 4 rosemary sprigs
  • 4 thyme sprigs
  • 1 3/4 cup vegetable oil


Into clean sterilized 2-cup (500 mL) jar, put chili pods, peppercorns and choice of herbs. Fill with oil; seal with clean new lids or corks. Let stand in refrigerator for at least 2 weeks before using. Store in refrigerator.
