Method

In large bowl, toss together cereal, raisins, pears, apricots, almonds and peanuts; set aside.

In small saucepan, bring butter, maple syrup, chili powder, salt and hot pepper sauce to boil over medium heat; boil for 1 minute. Pour over cereal mixture, tossing to coat.

Spread on rimmed baking sheet; bake in 325°F (160°C) oven, stirring occasionally, until lightly toasted, 10 to 12 minutes. Let cool on pan on rack. (Make-ahead: Store in airtight container for up to 1 week.)
