These stuffed mushroom caps are mouth-watering bites of delectable cheese. A real crowd pleaser, and so easy to whip together on short notice and the sky's the limit for the amount, it's however many you need for the number of guests you have over. For the purpose of this recipe I will say I'm serving 12 guests. Most people could eat a half dozen though easily!

  • 36 whole mushrooms
  • 1 lg bag mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pinch dried Parmesan
  • 4 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 cup margarine
  • 1 cup butter

Wash mushrooms in strainer and pull out stems.

Blot excess water and place on baking sheet.

Fill mushroom caps with shredded mozzarella, careful not to break them apart.

Place margarine or butter in microwaveable container with garlic powder and microwave for 1 minute depending on the heat of your appliance, making sure butter is completely melted and garlic is mixed thoroughly.

Pour melted butter into each cap and then sprinkle all with Parmesean cheese.

Place under broiler for about 5 minutes until cheese is melted and caps are golden brown.

Serve on platter and enjoy!
