This is a great open faced sandwich with a sweet and savoury flavor. I had something similar in a Tea House many years ago and have tried to re-create it and this is pretty darn close.

lightly toast raisin bread, (i like to add a touch of cinnimon if you can only getraisin bread, Presidents choice makes a great Cinnamon raisin brean and is sliced thichk!) layer ham on each slice layer on apple slices top with Canadian Cheddar microwave for a minute to a minute and 15 secs
