My husband was tired of the kids always wanting grilled cheese and wanted french toast one day so he combined the two. Now the kids always ask for Papa's special. If using ham we dip in ketchup, with pepperoni we dip it in pizza or marinara sauce.

Method
Get a skillet on the stove with a little bit of butter. You take two pieces of bread (we use whole wheat). You slice thin slices of marble cheese and add some deli ham slices (or pepperoni)in between the two slices. In a separate bowl, combine two eggs and about 1/4 cup of milk with a sprinkle of sugar (like making french toast batter). Heat pan on medium, while butter is melting take Take your sandwich, dip it in the batter to cover completely. Now fry in pan (just like french toast), when one side is brown turn over and brown other side.
