Most children love noodles and here we add just frozen peas and Parmesan cheese. However, poke around in your fridge and be creative with other additions. It's a great way to use up leftovers.

  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil


In large pot of boiling salted water, cook egg noodles until tender but firm, 8 minutes. Drain and return to pot; reserve 1/4 cup (50 mL) cooking liquid to moisten tossed noodles, if desired. Toss with peas, Parmesan and olive oil.
