Ingredients

  • 4 pears
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1/8 teaspoon stevia powder
  • 1 (4 cm) vanilla bean pod split and scraped
  • 1 pinch saffron threads
  • 2 pods cardamom
  • 1/2 orange juiced
  • 1 small ginger peeled
  • orange zest

Method

1. Place pears, water, stevia, vanilla, saffron ginger, orange zest, cardamon pods, orange juice in a saucepan, bring to boil, then reduce heat. Cook and cover for 30 minutes or until pears are soft, turning pears occasionally. 2. Remove pears and simmer liquid until reduced to half. Drizzle over pear. 3. Serve immediately.
