Poached Salmon Steaks

Serve this quick and easy salmon with Egg Sauce, green salad and mashed potatoes.

  • Portion size 4 servings


  • 4 salmon steaks (about 2 lb/1 kg total)
  • 1/2 small onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • pinch dried thyme
  • salt and pepper


Arrange salmon spoke-fashion, with widest portion on outside of microwave safe plate. Sprinkle with onion, lemon juice, parsley, thyme, and salt and pepper to taste. Cover with vented plastic wrap. Microwave at Medium (50%) for 9 to 11 minutes or until fish is opaque, rotating once. Let stand for 5 minutes.
