In large bowl, beat together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time; beat in vanilla. Bake, 1 sheet at a time, in 350?F (180?C) oven until tops are no longer shiny, 13 to 15 minutes. Let cool on pans for 2 minutes; transfer directly to racks to cool completely. (Make-ahead: Store in airtight container for up to 3 days.)

Omit 1/2 cup of the flour. Arrange dough on baking sheets as directed; flatten to 1/2-inch (1 cm) thickness. Bake as directed.

In bowl, mix wafer crumbs with butter. Press into bottom and up side of 9-inch (23 cm) pie plate. Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven until firm and dry, 12 to 14 minutes. Let cool completely.
Meanwhile, place chocolate in heatproof bowl. In small saucepan, bring 2/3 cup of the cream to boil; pour over chocolate, whisking until melted. Let cool until lukewarm, about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, in bowl, beat cream cheese with peanut butter until smooth; beat in remaining cream and the icing sugar until fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Scrape into crust, smoothing top. Sprinkle beef with 1/2 tsp of the salt and 1/4 tsp of the pepper. Set aside.
In slow cooker, combine onion, garlic and bay leaf. Place beef over top. Whisk together broth, vinegar, tomato paste, mustard, honey, Worcestershire sauce, rosemary and remaining salt and pepper; pour over beef. Cover and cook on low until beef is tender, 8 to 10 hours.
Transfer beef to cutting board; remove any butcher's twine. Keep beef warm.
Discard bay leaf. Skim fat from surface of cooking liquid. Whisk flour with 1/4 cup water; whisk into slow cooker. Cover and cook on high until thickened, about 15 minutes. Stir in parsley.
Thinly slice beef across the grain; serve with sauce.

Bacon on a workday? Yes, please! These freezable frittatas are a weekday morning saviour. Heat 'em up in the microwave and enjoy on toast or an English muffin, or on their own with a side of greens or sliced avocado.
In large saucepan of boiling salted water, cook brussels sprouts until tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water; drain well.
Meanwhile, in nonstick skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat, stirring often, until crisp, about 2 minutes. Using slotted spoon, transfer to paper towel–lined plate.
Drain all but 1 tsp fat from pan; sauté brussels sprouts with pinch salt over medium-high heat until beginning to brown, about 5 minutes. Stir in bacon. Scrape into lightly greased 13- x 9-inch (3.5 L) baking dish.
