Thyme Butter Green Beans

Measure out green beans by the handful. Four handfuls make about 12 oz (375 g).

Ingredients

  • 12 oz green beans trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
  • pinch each of salt and pepper
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Method

Cut heavy-duty or double-thickness foil 24 inches (60 cm) long. Arrange green beans in centre; dot with butter and sprinkle with thyme, salt and pepper. Double-fold sides then ends of foil to seal, leaving room in package for steam.

Place, seam side up, on grill over medium heat; close lid and cook, turning once, until tender, about 20 minutes. Shake gently to distribute seasonings. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
