Trout with Tahini Sauce

While the fish cooks, mix the tahini (a thick paste made from sesame seeds) with yogurt for an easy sauce in this 10-minute dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 trout fillets (about 6 oz/175 g each)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Tahini Sauce:
  • 1/3 cup plain Balkan-style yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons light mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper

Method

Sprinkle fish with salt and pepper. Place, skin side down, on greased grill over medium-high heat; close lid and grill until fish flakes easily when tested, about 7 minutes.

Tahini Sauce: In bowl, whisk yogurt, tahini, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic, salt and cayenne. Serve with fish.
