Choose the aroma you prefer for this blend: black tea leaves offer a floral aroma and citrusy flavour; green tea leaves are more like perfume and tobacco.
Ingredients
- 2 oranges 2 2orangeoranges
- 1 cup black tea leaves , such as Darjeeling, or green tea leaves1 1cup cupblack tea leaves, such as Darjeeling, or green tea leaves
- 1/2 cup each dried rose petals , and hibiscus, crumbled1/2 1/2cup cupeach dried rose petals, and hibiscus, crumbled
Preparation
Using vegetable peeler, peel rind (avoiding pith) from oranges. Place on rack and let dry at room temperature until brittle, about 24 hours. Break into 1/4-inch (5 mm) pieces.
In bowl, mix together orange rind, tea leaves, rose petals and hibiscus. Spoon into decorative bag or airtight jar. Makes about 35 servings.
