Salad Bar Setup
This recipe makes 10 servings
The great thing about a salad bar is the choice your guests will have, so offer a variety of toppings that appeal to both adults and children. Here's enough to feed eight to 10 people.
Ingredients
- 16 cups mixed salad greens.php">greens, romaine_lettuce or baby spinach (or a combination)
- 8 cups finely shredded red cabbage, about half a cabbage
- 1 sweet red pepper
- 1 sweet yellow pepper, and/or orange pepper
- 2 cups shredded carrots
- 2 cups sliced English cucumbers
- 2 cups chick peas, drained and rinsed
- 2 cups cubed feta cheese or Gouda cheese or bocconcini cheese
- 2 cups grape tomatoes or cherry tomatoes
- 1 cup thinly sliced green onions or red onions
- 1 cup thinly sliced radishes
- 1 cup black oil-cured olives
- 1/2 cup seeds or nuts, pecans or walnuts)
- 1/2 cup seeds or nuts, such as sunflower or pumkin seeds, pecans or walnuts
- 1 cup creamy dill ranch dressing
- 1 cup balsamic vinaigrette
