Skillet Steaks with Tangy Barbecue Sauce

Whether raining or snowing, you can still get the taste of an outdoor barbecue right in the kitchen with this smoky steak. Serve with Simple Baked Potatoes.
Ingredients
- 2 rib eye grilling steaks or strip loin grilling steaks, (about 6 oz/175 g each)
- 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- Sauce:
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp cider vinegar or wine vinegar
- 1/4 tsp chili powder
Preparation
Sauce: In bowl, combine ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar and chili powder; set aside.
Sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. In large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat; brown steaks on 1 side, about 4 minutes. Brush with half of the sauce. Turn and brush with remaining sauce; fry until medium doneness, about 4 minutes.
