  • 2/3 cup 2/3cupbottled strained tomatoes, (passata)
  • 1/3 cup 1/3cuppacked brown sugar
  • 4 oz 4ozslab bacon, diced
  • 2 oz 2ozsalt pork, diced
  • 3 tbsp 3tbspfancy molasses
  • 1 tbsp 1tbspsodium-reduced soy sauce
  • 1 tsp 1tspdry mustard

In slow cooker, combine beans, onion, strained tomatoes, brown sugar, slab bacon, salt pork, molasses, soy sauce and mustard. Stir in 1 cup water.

Cover and cook on low until bubbly and thickened enough to scoop, about 6 hours.
