Pack flatbreads, crackers or vegetables to enjoy with this paté like spread once you arrive at your destination.

Ingredients

  • 10 oz skinless boneless smoked trout
  • 4 oz light cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 cup minced green onions

Preparation

In food processor, blend trout, cheese, mayonnaise, horseradish, lemon juice, salt and cayenne pepper until smooth. Add all but 2 tsp (10 mL) of the green onions; pulse just until blended. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate in airtight container for up to 2 days.)

Scrape into serving dish; garnish with remaining green onions.
