This drink is a New York native that contains neither eggs or cream! The ideal egg cream has a frothy white top covering a chocolate base, streaks of chocolate in the glass are also traditional.
Preparation
Using well chilled ingredients, place the chocolate syrup in the bottom of a tall glass. Slowly pour in the milk. Pour the sods water straight down the centre of the glass to produce a thick white foam. Use a long handled spoon to carefully stir the chocolate and milk together without disturbing the foam. Drink immediately.
