Soda Fountain Recipe: Root Beer Float

Ingredients

  • 8 oz root beer
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 dollop whipping cream, (optional)
  • 1 maraschino cherry, (optional)

Preparation

Pour root beer into a tall glass. Float the scoop of ice cream over the root beer, allowing it to touch the rim of the glass without submerging it into the soft drink. Top with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.
