Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (6 oz/170 g each) solid white tuna, drained
  • 2 tbsp capers
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 Pinch hot pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Preparation

In large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender but firm. Drain and return to pot, reserving 1/2 cup (125 mL) cooking liquid.

Meanwhile, in nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook red pepper and garlic for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add tuna, breaking into chunks. Add capers, salt, pepper and hot pepper flakes; cook for 2 minutes or until hot. Add cooking liquid. Toss with pasta. Sprinkle with parsley.

Additional information : Serve after: Asparagus Salad
