Ingredients
- 12 oz spaghetti 12 12oz ozspaghetti
- 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil 2 2tbsp tbspextra-virgin olive oil
- 1 sweet red pepper , chopped1 1sweet red peppersweet red peppers, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic , minced4 4cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (6 oz/170 g each) solid white tuna , drained2 2cans (6 oz/170 g each) cans (6 oz/170 g each)solid white tuna, drained
- 2 tbsp capers 2 2tbsp tbspcapercapers
- 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 1/4tsp tspsalt
- 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 1/4tsp tsppepper
- 1 Pinch hot pepper flakes 1 1Pinch Pinchhot pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 1/4 1/4cup cupchopped fresh parsley
Preparation
In large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta for 8 to 10 minutes or until tender but firm. Drain and return to pot, reserving 1/2 cup (125 mL) cooking liquid.
Meanwhile, in nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat; cook red pepper and garlic for 30 seconds or until fragrant. Add tuna, breaking into chunks. Add capers, salt, pepper and hot pepper flakes; cook for 2 minutes or until hot. Add cooking liquid. Toss with pasta. Sprinkle with parsley.
