Strawberry Chocolate Shortcake Skewers
This is quick to assemble using store-bought cake and chocolate sauce.

2 slices (1 inch/2.5 cm thick) pound cake
16 strawberries
1/3 cup (75 mL) whipping cream
2 tsp (10 mL) orange-flavoured liqueur (optional)
1/4 cup (50 mL) chocolate sauce
Preparation:
Cut cake into 12 cubes. Alternately thread strawberries and cake onto each of 4 soaked wooden skewers. (Make-ahead: Cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.)
Place skewers on greased grill over medium heat; close lid and grill, turning once, until marked, about 8 minutes.
Meanwhile, whip cream; stir in liqueur (if using). Serve with skewers. Drizzle with chocolate sauce.
