Ingredients

  • 4 cups vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 4 whole strawberries
  • Strawberry Peach Sauce:
  • 2 cups sliced peeled peaches or nectarines
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries

Preparation

Strawberry Peach Sauce: In saucepan, bring peaches, sugar and cinnamon to boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring gently once or twice, until peaches are tender, about 10 minutes.

Add sliced strawberries; let cool.

In 4 parfait glasses or bowls, alternately layer sauce with frozen yogurt. Garnish with whole strawberries.

Variations
Blueberry Raspberry Parfaits: Replace peaches with blueberries and sliced strawberries with raspberries.
Garnish with blueberries or raspberries.

Sweet Cherry Berry Parfaits: Replace peaches with pitted sweet cherries. If desired, replace sliced strawberries with raspberries or blueberries. Garnish with cherries or berries.
