Caffe latte is one-third espresso and two-thirds steamed milk, making it milder and milkier than cappuccino. Sweetened with vanilla syrup, it's perfect for brunch.

Ingredients

    1 cup (250 mL) brewed espresso or double-strength coffee
    1/4 cup (50 mL) Vanilla Syrup
    2 cups (500 mL) hot or steamed milk
    1/2 cup (125 mL) whipped cream or frothed milk
    vanilla_sugar and ground nutmeg (optional)

Preparation

Pour 1/4 cup (50 mL) espresso into each of 4 coffee cups or mugs. Stir 1 tbsp (15 mL) Vanilla Syrup into each; add  1/2 cup (125 mL) hot milk. Top with whipped cream; sprinkle with Vanilla Sugar and nutmeg (if using).
