Are you concerned about Swine Flu? Are you washing your hands more often? Have you had to cancel a trip to Mexico? Are you thinking of dawning a face mask? Do you worry about sending your children to school or heading to the office on public transit? Or do you think this whole thing has just been completely blown out of proportion?

I'm watching the news and wondering if it will be contained or if it will suddenly spread rapidly. Scary stuff!

One of my co-workers was actually kicked out of her Yoga class because she just got back from a trip to Mexico! I'm glad that she didn't come into the office today because I totally terrified of contracting it! Where can I purchase medical grade face-masks?

Why is this even an issue? There are under 15 people in all of Canada with symptoms, and up here they're mild. A few coughs and sniffles. I wish I had a trip lined up to Mexico to prove a point. Maybe the flights are cheaper now...hmm....

chulchee, I suggest you knit a diy face mask. I'm sure they're all over the internet now.

My bf's brother was supposed to get married in Mexico on May 16.

The whole family made arrangements to fly down for the big shebang, but the travel agent called yesterday and said their flights are cancelled!! What a disaster!!!

Personally, I think all the hype and the media scare is way out of proportion. There is nothing wrong with being vigilant, but this sort of hype can send people into hysteria. This is just like the Avian Flu scare... and look where that ended up.
I subscribe to a newletter by Dr. Mercola, and he recently published a very interesting article about the Swine Flu. I don't have the link handy, and I don't want to advertise, but you can easily find him on google. It's just another perspective to take into consideration.

I'm not worried about it, but I also live on the more remote Bowen Island, and I work from home all day long! But even if I was like many commuters and my own darling hubby, who catches the ferry to downtown Vancouver every day, I wouldn't worry about it. I think it's a long shot to catch it.

But, I do feel for people like Bees girl's best friend's brother! What a drag, and so stressful to plan a wedding elsewhere. But better safe than sorry...I don't think I'd go to Mexico right now -- so it's better that the bridge and groom found out now!

I am up to date on what is really going on and it sure is something to be mighty concerned about. I don't want to be a fear monger or gloom and doom but it is all true.

I think it was a few weeks ago Baxter Labs in Czeckoslovakia were experimenting with vaccines and introduced bird flu or swine flu into vaccines and the ferrets died that were being tested upon. Someone from the lab let the cat out of the bag and people who lived in that country as well as Austria were mighty upset because it goes through the air. I think it was Monday that a swine flu vaccine fell of a train or something like that in Switzerland.

This disease has been manufatured in the lab using pig virus, bird virus as well as they dug up some bodies from the 1918 Spanish flu and that is how they formed the disease. I remembered hearing about scientists digging up the bodies of people who died up in Alaska of the Spanish flu. This can also be mostly aimed at Mexicans and hispanics for population reduction (racial) and the governments do have the capability of having race reducing diseases. Yes it also hits those who are white and other races but it attacks certain races in particular.

Here is a site for all to look at:

Oh the US government has also been predicting a pandemic flu since 2004 - so how do you all think they knew about that. Another thing is that VP Joe Bidden as well as Colin Powell have been talking about a global incident that was going to test Obama like they did to Kennedy.

Gordon Brown who is the new PM of England talks all the time about a New World Order along with some other leaders. Bush Sr. was the first to promote this back in 91 in front of the UN.

There is so much on the subject that I could practically write a book on it all.

Oh the masks will not work like what they are wearing in Mexico. It takes the Nano masks and all the equipment that medical personnel wear in hospitals when there is a pandemic. The vaccines only are for killing the populations. The economy is going to go down as well even a lot more (all scripted) and a great deal more to come. There may be lock downs in cities and countries.

One more thing I wanted to add. In the US - Alabama and I think another state or more has over 500,000 caskets and liners stacked up on one another. "Something is rotten in Denmark" as the quotation from Hamlet. I knew about that for some time now. It is all over youtube.com for you to see. Look it up.
