l Wash your silver in warm, soapy water with a soft cloth to rinse away tarnish. You must stop tarnish before it starts.

l Place your silver in zip-loc type storage bags and seal them shut. Don't let them sit out in the air. The sulfur that's present in all air makes it tarnish quicker. Don't use rubber bands to seal them; the rubber has sulfur in it, too!

l The acids in salad dressings, mayonnaise and eggs can tarnish your silver, Rinse your silver right away after you use your silver with these foods.
