It looks like "she" got a lion cut? If not, that's a new breed of cat to me!

hahah yeah. she was COVERED in mats and this is waht she looks like now. I didn't realize they would actually shave her like that..... I thought they would just shave the mats out. I was unaware of a population of people that shave their cats for their own personal pleasure.

Even without the pic, I know what kinda cat haircut you're referring to. My Mom has a Persion that got all matty (any contact with water starts a mat on her cat) and she had a groomer come to her house to clip the cat.

OMG! Poor kitty!! Totally hilarious looking on a small boned female cat. Anyways, even the cat was embarrassed and would hide from company until the haircut grew in.

Needless to say, my mom won't be doing that again.

I always get my tom cat trimmed in Spring because his coat is unusually thick and he has a hard time in the heat. I just have an inch or so taken off all over. Doesn't look nearly as weird - though they leave the hair on his head untouched from the collar up.
