| I need a plan ... and I need some motivation LOL. I haven't been to the gym in years, and I'm not sure a gym is the answer to my newly acquired couch potato status. My only exercise (other than housework) is a daily walk to the park with my daughter and an occasional weekend hike with my husband. I don't think my daily walks to the park will continue in the winter because I really don't like the cold. I am feeling like a slug these days and my upper body strength is not keeping up with my daughter's rate of growth. My house isn't really big enough for a lot of fitness equipment, but I thought there might be some sort of exercise routine I could get into that uses minimal equipment. I'd probably be exercising very, very early in the morning so it would have to be rather quiet so as to not disturb anyone who is still asleep. Does anybody have any ideas of an exercise plan (not yoga, because I have a spinal deformity that does not allow me to do the majority of the yoga poses) ... a book recommendation, a piece of equipment you use and could recommend, anything would be helpful. |

When I was working part time and home alot, I went to the library and borrowed exercise videos and DVD's. That way I was able to try different ones without spending alot of money. Any that I liked, I then went and bought, Kathy Smith is one of my favorites.
Good luck |
