Christmas Stollen Recipe?

My dear elderly neighbour, bless her heart, gifted us with the most amazing stollen every year. We'd cross our fingers every year and hope that she still had the energy and stamina to bake what must have been dozens for all of her church friends, family and neighbours. We loved that stollen!

I'd love to try it myself this year, maybe turn it into my own tradition of gifting those around me who I appreciate and love!

So, does anyone have a family and time-tested recipe they'd share? My neighbour's was a perfectly not-too-sweet, yeasty sort of stollen with a ribbon of marzipan that ran through the loaf, dusted of course with a blanket of icing sugar. Makes me want to rush Christmas here!

I've been using the stollen recipe from Canadian Living's Best Bread & Pizzas book for many years. I make two changes: 4 smaller loaves instead of 2 (so that I can gift to neighbours etc) and I also add a ribbon of marzipan in the middle of each. It's a long recipe and perhaps I should send it to you separately - or perhaps the folks at Canadian Living could post it on their website and save me having to type it all in! It doesn't seem to be in the recipe index.

PS. I think the CL's Best Bread & Pizzas book is fantastic - Lots of good recipes in it.
