Thank you very much for your response.

I would look into account of all information that you all have gave me.
Also, I would check "Stop that Thyroid Madness." I haven't been taking my thyroid pill consistency and I believe that is what is causing the symptom.

Jules1003, I haven't taken the H1N1 flu shot, but I am looking into taking the vacinnation.

Hi Karen:

It is mighty important that you take your thyroid medicine every day. If you go and skip taking the meds it can be very dangerous to your health.
Monday is our day for our doctor's appointment for my daughter as well as myself and this will be a new doctor for us. We will have our files transferred as well.
As for that flu shot Karen be mighty vigilant. Back in 76 there were cases of deaths and paralysis. This particular flu shot is an experiment and that disease was released by design and that is to get rid of a lot of the population. This is no joke and many medical doctors were on sites I visit talking all about this. Be very vigilant if you take that shot.
The best thing Karen is to wash your hands really well with soap and water many times a day and not sneeze on your hands and touch things. Use a lot of kleenex.
Karen make sure you take your thyroid meds - it is very important and make sure to have those blood tests taken every three months or so to see how you are responding with the meds.

Hi Karen and Everybody here:

I tried to type something to everyone about the H1N1 virus shots and please take this very seriously. Go to the following site it is of upmost importance:
www.fluscam.com

The doctor there is well known in the US and it is about population reduction and I have been studying this for some time now. I have heard this since 35 years ago that started me to really look into a lot of things going on.

David Rockefeller (yes one of the richest men in the world and one of the top banksters - yes like in gangsters - fits these people very well indeed) are behind population reduction - you can see him on youtube.com under population reduction or control. Ted Turner the owner of CNN is also behind this as well as Larry Silverstein the owner of the Twin Towers in NYC and the Sears Tower in Chicago as well as many others. Bill Gates and his father are behind a lot of this stuff as well.

Also check out the following site: www.nutrimedical.com and that site belongs to Dr. Bill Deagle and he is well aware of what is going on.

The gardisil vaccine given to young girls in school and soon to boys is all part of the sterilization and death. Please take this all seriously. The doctor who invented the polio vaccine even admitted to cancer viruses in the vaccines back in the 50's era. I heard him say that as well.

There is a write up on information that I saw on the net today about warning we Canadians and others to keep away from the vaccines and to take precautions. I am here putting my two cents in as well. I don't want anyone to die, be paralyzed, etc. from this. I could not live with myself if I didn't come to warn everyone. Spread the word please our lives depend on this. I read and listen to so much and when I see something that is extremely important to look at and listen I will let everyone know. Keep healthy and happy. I didn't know where to post this so I came back on Thyroid.

Another very important thing I wanted to say is that Mexico was hit the hardest because they have a humoungous population especially Mexico City with 20 million people and growing. These people are Indians, Métis and white and scientists also have diseases that can hit certain people of certain ethnicity. I know it sounds crazy and you think I flipped but this is real.

Please go to the following and listen and read this very carefully:

http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=15272

It has been a few days that I watched and read this. The lady at the top is in the US armed forces and there is another man talking below. Please pay very close attention. I have been very worried about all of this and wanted all of you to know what is going on. Get the word out because it can cost us all very heavily indeed.

It is very sad but also good to know that i am not alone with what i went through to get my thyroid condition diagnosed.

My story ..it is a little long folks...and this is the short version. It all began after i rented a townhouse in Aug 2005. I kept getting one sinus infection after another. I knew something was wrong but i kept thinking i just had really bad allergies. I only lived there a year and i had the carpets cleaned 4 times because if you didn't wear slippers the bottom of your feet would get as black as night within a few hours(Nasty). I was tired all the time because i would cough all night. Again, i thought it was allergies. In January 2006 i began gaining weight very rapidly, had migraines, terrible mood swings. April 2006 my hair turned snow white right down the middle of my scalp and I couldn't get thoughts of suicide out of my head, my sinuses were killing me. At night it felt like someone was pulling my 2 front teeth out with pliers. By October 2006 my sinuses were so swollen there was a big bump on each side of my nose under my eyes. By November 2006, I finally sought out medical attention.

The first 2 blood tests said nothing was wrong and my doctor thought i was just eating too much and had a few allergies. He gave me some allergy pills and put me on a 800 calorie diet. I wanted to die..i knew i was dying. My doctor scheduled me in every 2 weeks for a few months. I just kept getting worse. I was in pain from my sinuses, coughing and crying for 14hrs a day non-stop because i really didn't want to kill myself . I had this overwhelming saddness and i felt like i had no soul . I had always been spiritual and I had faith in God etc...but this voice in my head just kept saying.."just do it...end this the pain...they will understand"..blah...blah...blah. He put me on Anti-depressants. I really did not want to go on them but in the end agreed. The saddness quieted but i still had to somehow make my Dr. believe that there was something very wrong with me. He finally believed me when i started gaining 30lbs a month. My total weight gain in 9 1/2 months was 96lbs. He referred me to an Endocrinologist and an allergist. I got an appointment set up with the best Endocrinologist in Montreal but i had to wait 2 1/2 months to see both Specialists. i was such a mess and so miserable because no one believed me that something was seriously wrong. I was sure i was going to be dead before i could get to that appointment.

Finally...my allergy apointment. I am allergic to 17 things( all trees, pollens, pet dander, dust, dustmites...etc). At this appointment the doctor looked up my nose and i swear he jumped back 2 ft. he looked horrified and disgusted. He kept asking me if i was a drug user. Uhhh...noooo! I had x-rays taken and once the x-ray were done things did not get better. He asked me one more time if i was a drug user. I told him if he asked me that one more time I was going to lose it on him. I was there because something very wrong is happening to me and it was getting worse. The only thing that i was putting up my nose was nasal spray. Ohhhh...he says!...ughh whatever(rolling my eyes). He finally got to the diagnosis...ughh..grr!! He told me in 38yrs of medicine he had never seen an infection this advanced, this disgusting...are you ready...on a living person. He said that i should be dead. I had 2 abcesses the size of figs, 1 in each sinus cavity. days for 30 da The infection was likely caused by mold in the carpet. Heavy duty anti-biotics and Prednisone for 30days. YEH... Infection gone!!

Now the endocrinologist appointment. There is no drama in this part of the saga.. 1st he refused to take any blood test results from the local hospital i had been going to(they are ranked 9th in the city). So in I went to the one he suggested. 2 weeks later..FINALLY....FIIIINALLLY an explanation!!!

1- I have an Auto-Immune Disease, my thyroid is dead and I will be on Synthroid for life.

2- My anti-bodies were 5 times what they should be.

3- Diagnosis: Auto-Immune thyroiditis(There are over 150 types of Auto-Immune diseases)... of course the thyroid related condition is the hardest one to detect until all the symptoms keep increasing one by one and then finally the lightbulb goes off in their head .. "ÖH...you're right it isn't all in your head". Once the synthroid kicked in all the crazy thoughts, insomnia and the lethargy mostly disappeared . The weight has been tough. In Dec 2008, I lost 33 of the 96lbs in 9 weeks but the rest is being a real stubborn bugger! I thought the synthroid was going to melt it all off and i would be in a size 5 again in a few months. It took 9 months to put on and it is taking forever to get off. They really need to push and put more thyroid information directly into the GP's hands. It has been an absolute living nightmare. I lost my mind, my looks, my boyfriend, my company. It all potentially could have been avoided if they had just trusted that i knew what i was talking about. We all hold PHD's when it comes to our own bodies.

My GP has never doubted me again. 2 weeks ago I went to see him because something was off....again. I was getting up between 9:30 - 10 am. I usually get up between 6- 7am. Then every day by 3pm, I had to lie down. I wouldn't get up until 6pm and back in bed by 9pm. I gained 14lb in 11 days. YUP...something was off. I was also having a hard time swallowing(it felt like something was stuck in that hollow part my neck/ throat)and my throat was sore too. Blood results showed Anti-bodies were 3x what they should be and the synthroid dosage was not high enough. He raised it and i started to feel better in a matter of days.

Hi Not Crazy in Montreal:

You would be in shock to know how many people are walking around with a thyroid problem and so many doctors are not on the ball as they say about what is going on and what is wrong witht he patient. I have read from another Canadian lady in the Niagara Falls area who was on about.com/thyroid and she too was suicidal. It has been some years since I visited the site but it is a very good site where a lot of people both men and women but especially women have thyroid problems of all sorts.

My daughter went to another doctor lately with me and didn't like him at all. He only stayed with her for 15 minutes and made personal calls on the phone while she was there. She said to me "mom that's it I am going back to my other doctor" so she will do her blood test in a weeks time and then make an appointment to see the doctor.

The doctor saw the excema on my one knuckle that really shows it and he said that I have an auto immune disease as well. I have had that since I was a teenager. My daughter started gaining weight when she was a teenager and when she was in her early 20's she was in a size 10 - 12 and now holy moly she is in a size 16 - 18. She is only 5'1" and close to 200 pounds. She isn't eating a lot - I outeat her any day.

A lot of doctors are not qualified for the job as a doctor and they go way too fast at what they are doing and not paying the least amount of attention to what is wrong with the patient. Things are getting a lot worse and many patients die at the doctors neglegence.

One prominent man back in my hometown died because he had cancer and the doctor was treating him for ulcers. I have heard so many of those stupid cases. Even the animals aren't safe around doctors these days and yet you pay cash for the vets.

All a lot of doctors want is the big money but not the work that goes with the profession. No wonder the government is bringing over foreign doctors and nurses because they will work for a lot less. Here in Ottawa they are bringing over nurses from Mexico and other professions as well because these people are not lazy and really work hard. I see the same thing at Wal Mart where the people are foreign and work mighty hard.

My daughter is glad that she won't go and see this doctor and when one doesn't have much of a trust in the person then there is no need going back.

Like you said hospitals rank differently in how they do their work and the patient care. I sure miss the small sized hospital (compared to what is now here in Ottawa) where my kids were born. The care there was superb since it was small. The government tore down that smaller hospital. You were a person there and not a number. In a general sense they do a pretty good job but there are always staff who are very inconsiderate and negligent. I sure won't forget the time we spent ten hours in the emergency room and my daughter was very sick and highly contageious and taken almost last. If it weren't for some people leaving we still would have had to wait even longer. They do not do the proper triage that is for sure. You can die waiting for treatment. In the past back in the 80's we were taken a lot faster - things have really gone down the hill in the medical profession. Even our doctor sees the difference.

Hi Jules10003!

When I fell upon this blog this morning by accident...I almost did a back flip off my couch. I read every post there was. I read your story...thanks for sharing it again. I had to go back and check if you were the lady from Cornwall. My Father is from Cornwall, his father was the OB-GYN from 1932 - 1977 at the Hotel Dieu and The General. I am 41yrs old and I remember visiting him as a child and he was still doing house calls. His office was attached to the house as well. You certainly don't get house calls today. If your appointment is at 1pm, you don't get to see the good doctor until at least 2:30. Don't get me wrong..my GP is great. I just think the Dr.'s are not informing themselves enough regarding these thyroid issues and all the signs and symptoms that come with the living nightmare. Everywhere I turn now someone knows someone who has an underactive thyroid. He really is a very compassionate man. He is known to give $$ to patients for prescriptions if they can not afford it. I have also seen him go to the back of his office into the kitchen and get a sandwich for someone he just happened to overhear was getting hungry. He has been my doctor since I was 11. However, I did not need an appointment with him from the time I was 23 until I was 38. I was as healthy. My endocrinologist is another story. I had an 11am appointment. His waiting room had ...no lie...I counted...22 people in it. He took me in to his office at 3:30pm. He too, made and took personal calls. He also felt the need to share what the calls were about. The daughter of a one of his heart patients who passed on was about to file a lawsuit against him and a pharmaceutical company. Are you kidding me?? I didn't wait 3 1/2hrs in an over crowded stuffy waiting room to listen to him whine. But I digress...he too tried to put me on a 600 calorie a day diet before the blood tests. I just rolled my eyes because I wasn't even eating that much a day because I was either sleeping 15-16hrs a day or was crying too hard to eat anything. I went from a size 5 (and even that was loose) to a size 18 in less than a year. I am down to a snug 13/14 BUT this body is still foreign to me and it HAS TO GO...I can not even look at myself in the mirror without making an expression of disgust. I will do it! If it is the last thing i do..i will get my body back!

Well, I think i have taken up enough of your time. Thanks for sharing and maybe we will talk again. I checked out some of the sites you and some other listed. Thank you, I really appreciate the info everyone!!

Hang in there!!!

Hi Not Crazy in Montreal:

Yes I am originally from Cornwall and I knew a lot of doctors there. My eldest sister worked at the General as chief of staff of the nurses (head nursing supervisor). I worked as a volunteer (candy striper) when I was a teenager at both the General and Hotel Dieu Hospitals. When we go down for a visit the place looks more like a farm after being in a big city. It is a nice slow paced and nice parks.

I was thinking about you with those carpets in your townhouse and in my apartment and our whole floor has carpets. Below us they are all hardwood floors. In the past the whole building was carpeted.
You have to be really careful with carpets and even if they are clean there are so many chemicals in them. I quilt and embroider and I can tell you how my sinuses, hands, etc. feel after me working around fibers. I am sorting out a big green garbage bag full of old sheets and old clothes that I am taking apart so as to knit them into rag rugs and into filling everyday quilts and WOW I am taking a beating for sure. My daughter is laughing at me with all what I have to take apart.

In a lot of rentals carpets are not kept all that clean and sometimes we get apartments where there were dirty tenants. Be very careful of your health. Those carpets have to be changed every so often since a lot of dust mites and other things accumulate in them. I have an awful lot of allergies and my whole family does as well. Speaking about mold my apartment has that as well since I live on the top floor and our ceiling has been leaking during heavy rains and my second bedroom looks like hell and the super scraped it down a few years ago and now my ceiling in my bedroom is starting like that. There is some of that stuff from the ceiling that fell on the carpet and I have been vacuuming it up. We lived here 33 years ago and the ceiling in my bedroom leaked at the very same location but it wasn't as bad a it is now. Many landlords had this place since and nothing was done. The windows are still the same, the bathroom and kitchen cabinets, etc. the same except for a few changes, a lot of the floors in the building is the same and I can go on and on.

When we lived in Cornwall we purchased a house since my mom left me her house and we sold it and it needed a lot of work. We put some work into it but we said sell and left after so many years living in apartments. There was mold and mildew in that house and we did everything humanly possible to try and prevent the mold but nothing worked. We had contractors in and told us what had to be done and still nothing to say for sure that the mold wouldn't come back. Once it is there you can't get rid of it. We were all very sick in that house and too bad because there is no place like your own little nest. Cornwall is a lot cheaper than these big cities and a lot safer. We hear the emergency vehicles go by here many times a day and the heavy traffic. We had one man working here in our apartment and asked us how we can stand the noise of the traffic and we said if you are a mighty deep sleeper it might work. LOL LOL. We are not that far from the highway to go to Cornwall. We came back to Ottawa since six years and what a change (a drastic one). It grew a great deal bigger and lots of stress.

Speaking of thyroid and other auto immune diseases those vaccines along with the water and air sure don't help matters any. I read in one of Cornwall's little papers yesterday of a girl I knew since childhood (she was 6 years younger than myself and lived on another street from me) died of cancer. I am 58 years old and she was 52. I felt bad but so many people are dying of cancer down there. An awful lot of the people with cancers end up coming to Ottawa for treatment. My mother had cancer and battled it for 30 years and then succumbed to it all. My mom was warned about the vaccines back in 1960 by a chemical engineer and his physio therapist wife and they said it causes retardation and also cancer. I always have it in my mind about the condition of my children having had those vaccines and they are adults now of 30 and 31 years old. If I had my way over again I wouldn't vaccinate.

If you want a good book to read then you need to get "The Thyroid Solution" it is by far the best book that I have ever read. My neighbour gave it to me & it was from reading that that I finally got the help that I had been waiting for - after being very stubborn & not backing down. I highly recommend it.
