Armagnac

Made in southwest France, sometimes called "the other brandy", dating back to the 1400s. The difference between it and the more popular cognac is that cognac is made, for the most part, from the Ugni Blanc grape, while Armagnac's base wine is made from a number of varieties. Locally grown black oak casks are used for the maturation.
