Broccolini

Also asparation, baby broccoli. Trademarked name for the cross between broccoli and Chinese kale. Originally developed by the Sakata Seed Co. of Yokohama, Japan, the vegetable is sweet and delicate and much more tender and less fibrous than broccoli. The stalk does not need to be peeled before eating.
