Dressing

1. a usually cold sauce used on salads. See also salad dressing. 2. also stuffing. A mixture often containing bread crumbs or cubes, forcemeat, oats, potatoes or rice, along with seasonings and dried or fresh fruit, herbs and nuts, used to stuff meat, seafood (such as squid), poultry or vegetables.
